Visitation

MEMBERSHIP:

Open to every member of the Chapel with a calling and a burden to visit, strengthen, encourage and comfort people; and has gone through the Church screening process.

OBJECTIVE:

Welcome new comers and visitors to the Church after each service and enlighten them about the Church as well as get to know them personally.

Get the newcomers/visitors to fill the visitors slip and make plans to visit such persons. To share the gospel of salvation with those who are not born again so that they can have a personal faith in Jesus Christ and become Christians.

ACTIVITIES:

Visit the newcomers to the Church especially the students on campus.
Visit sick people in the hospitals or wherever they are, praying with them and encouraging them in any possible way.
Visit newly married, Family with new born, those promoted in one way or another, those who are bereaved etc.

Anita was a freshman. And just like every other freshman on campus, she was excited about the new opportunities that awaited her at the university. The thrill that came with exploring a new adventurous chapter, reinventing herself, refining her skills, meeting new people and building new relationships that would last a lifetime, carving out a niche for herself, and being that exceptional lawyer, she had always dreamed she would one day become, felt amazing. Although Anita had all along followed her parents to church, and while in secondary school, had participated in church programmes and thought she was a Christian. But nothing beats the feeling that came with the newfound freedom and sense of independence she had discovered. No more parental rules, no peeping eyes looking over her shoulders to checkmate her activities, and best of all, she could do whatever she liked and wanted. Months passed and as the journey grew intense, Anita wavered and fell. She got caught up with the wrong crowd and neglected the counsel of wise leaders and the church because she believed she knew better.

About Chapel of Faith Unijos

The Chapel began significantly from 1986 under the Religious Studies Department. It was known then as "The Protestant Chapel". The memberships of the church were made up of Protestants in the university community. However, the majority of the Christian students on campus worshipped at the Common Services at the Naraguta hostel of the university under the umbrella of the University Christian Fellowship (U.C.F).
